It's reported that Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless (NSSC) announced to remain its list prices for austenitic stainless rods unchanged for June-August contracts.
It's learned that nickel prices averaged at US$6.8/lb. between March 26th and June 25th, falling by US$1.04/lb. from the previous three months. However, the Japanese Yen depreciated in the given period of time.
Thus, NSSC decided to remain its prices for austenitic rods unchanged. However, the company cut extra alloy charges for alloy content.
Meanwhile, NSSC hiked the prices for ferritic rods by ¥5,000/ton as ferrochrome prices during April and June rose to US$1.35/lb. from US$1.205/lb.
