Taiwanese Chung Hung Steel aims on North American oil pipe market

Taiwanese Chung Hung Steel has invested more than NT$3 billion to set up a new API pipe plant in middle Taiwan.

Currently, Chung Hung Steel's has completed 50% of construction of the new plant.

Once the new plant is put into official operation, Chung Hung Steel will run the test for small size pipe and then start to produce large outside diameter size pipes in 2014.

Meanwhile, the designed annual capacity of this mill is 200,000 tons.

At the same time, Shin Yang Steel, the subsidiary company of Yieh Phui has already completed its new plant's construction in the early 2012 and started it has started the test run in the second quarter.

It's learned that Chung Hung Steel and Shin Yang Steel have aimed on the North American market to sell the oil pipe products.
