Italian special steel producer Acciaierie Bertoli Safau (ABS) will resume its electric arc furnace (EAF) at its steel mill in Sisak, a city in central Croatia during this November, according to Alessandro Trivillin, the CEO of the company.
It's known that ABS poured US$30.4 million to acquire Sisak mill in this June from the US-based Commercial Metals Company (CMC).
In the first phase, the company will employee only about 100 workers for the Croatian mill, in comparison of the past 1,000 employees, due to strategic to get rid of welded pipe and seamless pipe output and turn to focus on core business of special steel production at the mill.
