Chinese molybdenum miners to absorb extra taxes

It's reported that Chinese government announced to impose mining taxes on six mineral commodities including molybdenum, effective from February 1st.

Most Chinese molybdenum miners are getting prepared and saying that they are ready to absorb the mining taxes rise and do not prepare to pass the extra burden to downstream consumers at moment as the market is quiet sluggish.

Meanwhile, it's known that the government imposed RMB4/ton for molybdenum, causing total tax burden to RMB8~RMB12/ton, depending on mine grade
