Weiyuan Steel starts work on vanadium-added steel project

On November 8, Weiyuan Iron & Steel Co. (Weiyuan Steel), a subsidiary of Sichuan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Tranvic Group, commenced construction work on its project for the production of vanadium-added steel at Lianjie Industrial Park in Weiyuan, Sichuan, as reported by Tranvic Group.

Within the scope of the project, Weiyuan Steel plans to construct one 120 mt vanadium extraction converter, two 120 mt steel converters, two 120 mt KR desulfurization units, two 120 mt ladle furnaces, and two 120 mt seven-strand billet casters
