Chongqing city based Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron and Steel Corporation Ltd No 5 coke oven is now in full swing for the launch of coking project. The preparation work is expected to be finalized before the end of November.The newly constructed No 5 and No. 6 coke oven is designed to realize the company aim to produce 10 million tonnes of steel, the project leader introduced.The two coke ovens have annual capacity of 1.2 million tonnes of coke each, equipped with 60 holes JN60-6 coke oven. The No. 6 coke oven was commenced in September 2011 and is designed to put into production in February 28 2012. The No 1 and No 2 coke oven was successively operated in 2009 and No 4 coke oven was put into production in November last year.
