CFMCC sucssefully commission tin-plate line for Wuhan Steel

The Electromechanical Company of China First Metallurgical Construction Group declared that, the No. 1 Cold-rolled Tin-plate Production Line manufactured for Wuhan Steel Works was successfully put into commissioning on September 5th 2013.

This line is jointly invested by Wuhan Iron & Steel Group and Nippon Steel Corporation of Japan. The Tin-plate Production Line is the very first such line and one of the core lines of Wuhan Steel Works. The whole line consists of un-coiler, automatic welder, entry looper, alkaline cleaning section, cleaning section, electro-tinning section, chemical section, oiler, auslaufspeicher, inspection station, recoiling machine and the other key parts.

The production line adopts the new technologies and processes introduced from Japan. The main product is tin-plate, which is featured by strong corrosion resistant ability and avirulent insipidity. Such plate is deemed to be with high added values, and widely utilized in the fields of canned food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, which will change the situation of long-term dependence upon import.

Up to now, the Wuhan Steel Project Division of CFMCC Group has completed the following works: (i) cable laying work of more than 300 km; (ii) bridge installation of over 7,000m; (iii) electrical piping of over 6,000m; (iv) processing, manufacturing and installation of 40t steel structures; (v) installation of more than 510 high and low voltage cabinet for electric instrument; (vi) installation of over 300 terminal boxes and operational boxes; (vii) installation of 15 power transformers and over 300 instrument points.
