Chinese industrial enterprises’ gross profits up 3 percent in Jan-Nov

In the January-November period of this year, the aggregate gross profits of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in China amounted to RMB 4.6625 trillion ($741 billion), increasing by three percent compared to the same period last year, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).   In November alone, the aggregate gross profits of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in China reached RMB 638.5 billion ($102 billion), up 22.8 percent year on year.  

In particular, in the first 11 months, total gross profits of China's automobile manufacturing sector indicated a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent, total gross profits of the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing sector increased by 6.1 percent year on year, and total gross profits of the computer, communications and other electrical equipment manufacturing sector increased by 11.5 percent year on year. On the other hand, in the given period the aggregate gross profits of the ferrous metal smelting and processing industry in China decreased by 47.9 percent year on year.
