Shanxi Coking Coal and Sindicatum to launch mine gas utilization tech centre

Shanxi coking coal Group, China's largest coking coal producer, has agreed with Singapore's Sindicatum, a developer and operator of clean energy projects worldwide, to build up a ground-breaking technology centre in a conference recently held in Taiyuan of Shanxi, sources reported.

 

Shanxi Coking coal group and Sindicatum have jointly developed 27MW of clean-energy projects in Shanxi, fuelled with coal mine Methane and abating approximately 800,000 tonnes of CO2 per annum.

 

In addition, the two companies discussed the proposed new draft standards for Ventilation Air Methane abatement and utilisation, and for Coal Mine Methane safe and efficient clean energy power plant operations.

 

The Chinese government aims to promote sustainable and affordable energy solutions and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by transforming coal mining companies into sustainable businesses, as energy is the key to economic growth and coal dominates China's energy supply market
