According to the data compiled by China's customs, China's coal exports amounted to 0.88 million t in May, decreasing by 36.23% as compared to 1.38 million t in April. On the other hand, in January to May of this year China's overall coal exports totaled 8.04 million t dropping by 9.4% year on year while the export value came to $1.442 billion, surging by 67.2% year on year.
Besides, China's coking coal and semi-finished coke exports stood at 0.45 million t in May and the year-to-date exports reached 2.13 million t, jumping by 153.7% as compared to the same period of last year, meanwhile the exports value came to $968 million, up 184.4% year on year.
