Holding positive outlook toward the auto industry growth, ArcelorMittal has opened a new plant to produce tailor-welded blanks in Senica, Slovakia to provide better service for their automotive clients moving production to Eastern Europe.
This plant was commissioned last Friday, equipped with facility up to €10 million, produces laser welded blanks (LWBs, includes two welding lines and a blanking line with design production capacity up to 4 million LWBs/year.
The site is located in the proximity of fourteen automotive factories in central-eastern Europe owned by international car makers including Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi, Peugeot, Ford, Kia Motors and Fiat.
