It has been reported in the Ukraine that in February 2012, titanium dioxide (pigment grade) production fell by 3.7% or 445 tonnes compared to February 2011 production of 11,679 tons, according to the Cherkasy state scientific and research institute of technical and economical information in the chemical industry. In February, it was reported that PrJSC Crimea Titan increased titanium dioxide output by 3.7% to 8,674 tonnes, and PJSC Sumykhimprom decreased by 20% to 3,005 tonnes. In the period from January-February 2012, titanium dioxide production fell by 2.8% or by 692 tonnes, compared to the same period in 2011, with production of 24,269 tonnes.
