Australian mineral sands producer Iluka Resources Ltd. Thursday posted a 13% fall in first-quarter sales revenue despite higher prices due to sluggish demand for zircon and delayed shipments of titanium dioxide products.
It said it continued to experience strong demand for its titanium dioxide.
Mineral sands revenue fell to A$196.3 million in the quarter from A$226.3 million a year earlier, it said.
The company said its mineral sands production fell 13% to 340,600 metric tons in the March quarter, from 392,800 tons a year earlier.
