CNPC and RECOPE sign framework agreement on training

    ON August 16, witnessed by Chinese President Hu Jintao and Costa Rica President Laura Chinchilla Miranda, CNPC President Zhou Jiping and RECOPE President Jorge Villalobos Clare signed a framework agreement on training in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Under the agreement, CNPC will provide training to petroleum and non-petroleum professionals, managing personnel and technicians in Costa Rica. Cultivation of such talents will not only benefit project progress, but also promote social and economic development of the country.
  
    On the morning of the same day, Zhou Jiping paid a visit to President Laura Chinchilla at the Diaoyutai State Guest House. Zhou expressed his gratitude to Costa Rica's Government as well as the President for their support to oil cooperation between the two countries. President Laura Chinchilla indicated that she would like to take this visit as an opportunity to promote current cooperation activities and establish new ones. They also exchanged ideas on other issues related to the cooperation projects.
  
  Chinese Ambassador to Costa Rica Li Changhua, CNPC Vice President Wang Dongjin and PetroChina Vice President Bo Qiliang were present at the visit.
