On December 18 in Naypyitaw, CNPC donated USD 750,000 to Myanmar's Ministry of Health to help build 19 clinics for the local communities.
This is the first part of CNPC's medical aid to Myanmar which is included in a package of aid program totaling USD 6 million. The education aid program has been implemented in October this year. Up to now, USD 2.04 million out of the 6 million has been fulfilled. With the collaboration of CNPC and Myanmar's Ministry of Energy, the aid package will improve the education and medical conditions of local communities to a great extent.
Minister for Energy of Myanmar U Lun Thi, Minister for Health Pe Thet Khin, and Minister for Education Mya Aye attended the signing ceremony and delivered speeches respectively. CNPC South East Asia Pipeline Company Limited (SEAP) President Zhang Jialin, on behalf of CNPC, signed the contract with the clinic constructors.
