On September 16, Zhang Gaoli, secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee and Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee paid a visit to CNPC.

Zhang visited Beijing Oil and Gas Pipeline Control Center and learnt a brief of the safe operation of CNPC's long-distance oil and gas pipeline. The two also had talks on strengthening cooperation between corporation and local government to realize win-win development.
