On June 28, Dina-2 Gas Field of the Tarim Oilfield in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region was put into operation.
Located in the Kuche depression south to the Tianshan Mountain, Dina-2 Gas Field was discovered in 2001, and is China's largest gas condensate field with a gas in place volume exceeding 100 billion cubic meters.
Productivity construction of the gas field commenced on March 26, 2008, and completed in 15 months. The auxiliary gas processing plant is designed to process five billion cubic meters of natural gas and output 4.56 million tons of oil equivalent every year.
As the second largest gas field in the Tarim Oilfield, Dina-2, together with Yaha, Kela-2 and Yingmaili gas fields, have boosted Tarim Oilfield's production capacity to over 20 billion cubic meters a year, ensuring the stable supply to the First West-East Gas Pipeline.
