On 20 March, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) released its corporate social responsibility report for the second time.

The CSR report is composed of five chapters — energy supply, safety and environment, career development, public welfare and features. It objectively and completely reflects the performance of CNPC in terms of fulfilling our economic, environmental and social responsibilities in 2007.

CNPC, as a key state-owned enterprise of China, always takes ensuring stable and safe energy supply to fuel the growth of national economy as its core social responsibility. We attached great importance to safe and clean operation in order to achieve sustainable development. Promoting employees' development, sharing our achievements with our staff and the society, and supporting public welfare causes are also our duty-bound social responsibilities.
