On June 25, a major field test project in the Daqing Oilfield —
nitrogen
foam flooding test after water flooding obtained interim achievements in an individual well and a water flooded well group. Well Xing 7-1-33 produced a total of 1,000 tons more oil from interconnected oil wells after being treated, with a total water cut drop of 4.9%. Interconnected oil wells around the well group have produced 4,200 tons more oil, with a total water cut drop of 1.26%.
Foam flooding is one of tertiary oil recovery methods with foam as the oil displacement medium, featured by high apparent viscosity, preferential plugging of high permeability formation and water, but not oil plugging. Foam flooding can enhance oil displacement efficiency by a large margin, but the displacement profile is difficult to control due to the poor stability of the foam. Researchers have put forward a new concept of "gel foam" to add polymer and gel system to the foam to stabilize foam performance and reduce the adsorption loss of foaming agents. A gel foam flooding system has since been established for the first time.
