CNPC signs strategic cooperation agreement with Chongqing

On June 16, CNPC Vice-President Zhou Jiping signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chongqing municipal government. The two sides will strengthen their cooperation in four areas: reinforce oil and gas exploration and development to sustain a rapid increase in gas production and boost gas supplies to Chongqing; accelerate the establishment of a marketing network to meet the oil products needs of Chongqing; speed up the construction of a gas pipeline network to enhance gas deliveries to Chongqing and promote prophase study on an oil transmission pipeline extending to Chongqing.
