By May 28, five branches of the Western Products Pipeline,in Gansu Province, namely Wuwei, Zhangye, Liuyuan, Yumen and Jiuquan, have become operational. The 1,842-kilometer-long Western Products Trunk Pipeline starts at Urumqi in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and ends at Lanzhou in Gansu Province, with an annual delivery capacity of 10 million metric tons. There are a total of seven branches for the trunk line, including five in Gansu Province which cover all the major cities of the province.
