DuPont has showed a strong performance in the fourth quarter of 2010. Sales value was $7.4 billion, up 15% compared favorably with the prior-year figure. Growth in sales was based across different segments, among which Agriculture & Nutrition has contributed about $1.5 billions, up 13% in Q4 2010, and $9.1 billion, up 10% for the full year. Increased sales primarily reflect a strong start to the North American season, an increase in Latin America corn sales, an increase in Brazil soybean volume, and higher sales for crop protection products across all regions. DuPont appears well-positioned in its markets. It is anticipated that the company will sustain steady growth in revenues and share earnings from 2012 onward.
