Selected non-staple agri-food prices - 45th week of 2014

 Pork, vegetable prices continue dropping

 

According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 45th week of 2014 (Nov. 3-9, 2014) is 195.13 (year 2000=100), decreasing by 1.01 points from the previous week. The Nationwide Non-staple Agri-food Wholesale Price Index is 194.92, down by 1.11 points from the previous week. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 intensively monitored wholesale markets is 630,200 tons, increasing by 6.6% from the previous week.

1. The price dropped slightly for 7 consecutive weeks, down by a total of 4%.

2. The total trade volume in 50 intensively monitored major wholesale markets.

3. Out of the 28 intensively monitored vegetables, 15 witnessed price decrease, 11 saw price rise, and the other 2 remained the same price compared with the previous week.

4. The change of the prices was within 5%.
