Selected non-staple food prices –25th week of 2014

Prices for animal products fall slightly

while vegetable prices rise slightly

 

According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 25th week of 2014 (June 16-22, 2014) is 203.01 (year 2000=100), increasing by 0.80 points over a week ago. The Nationwide Non-staple Food Wholesale Price Index is 204.65, up by 1.00 point over a week ago. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 wholesale markets under intensive monitoring is 638,700 tons, decreasing by 1.7% compared to the previous week.

2. The price increased by 16.9% year-on-year.

3. The total trade volume in 50 major wholesale markets under intensive monitoring of MOA.

4. Out of the 28 items of vegetables under intensive monitoring, the prices of 14 items rose, the prices of 2 items remained the same as to that of the previous week, and the prices of 12 items fell.

5. The average price of 28 items of vegetables increased by 3.8% year-on-year.

6. Change of prices was within 5%.
