Pork price rebounds slightly, vegetable prices continue dropping
According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 19th week of 2014 (May 5-11, 2014) is 202.13 (year 2000=100), up by 1.93 points over the previous week. The Nationwide Non-staple Food Wholesale Price Index is 203.54, up by 2.34 points. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 wholesale markets under intensive monitoring is 696,600 tons, up by 6.5% compared to the previous week.

1. The price of pork rebounded slightly this week after dropping for 11 consecutive weeks. It has been falling since January this year, and the lowest price stood at 15.73 yuan/kg on April 27th, equal to that of July 2010.
2. The total trade volume in 50 major wholesale markets under intensive monitoring of MOA.
3. Being equal to that of the previous week.
4. 19 of the 28 vegetable items witnessed price drop, 8 items saw price increase and 1 item remained the same compared to those of the previous week.
