Vice Minister Yu Kangzhen meets Malian Minister of Rural Development Bokary Tréta

Vice Minister Yu Kangzhen met with the visiting President of the Rally for Mali and Minister of Rural Development of the Republic of Mali Mr. Bokary Tréta and his delegation in Beijing on April 1st, 2014. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening China-Mali agricultural cooperation.
During the meeting, Vice Minister Yu spoken highly of the cooperation and communication in the field of agriculture between China and Mali since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1960. Yu put forward a six-point proposal for future cooperation:
First, to encourage and facilitate high-level and technical visits; Second, to make joint efforts to promote the development of the Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center in Mali; Third, to intensify agricultural S&T exchange and cooperation and broaden cooperation areas; Fourth, to continue cooperation in human resource development and provide Malians with opportunities of receiving training in China; Fifth, to work together to boost bilateral agricultural trade; Sixth, the Chinese side should encourage its competent agri-businesses to invest in Mali while the Malian side should create a favorable environment for China''s investment.
Bokary expressed full consent to Yu''s comment on bilateral agricultural cooperation and suggestions for future work. He stated that Mali is willing to work with China to upgrade agricultural cooperation in an all-round manner. Bokary also expressed thanks for assistance and support granted by China in agriculture.
