Belarus, Vietnam to collaborate on compound fertilisers' production
A partnership using Belarusian potash and nitrogen fertilisers to produce compound fertilisers is to be established in Vietnam by December 2012.
Director of the trading house Belarus-Vietnam Yuri Nikov told reporters on September 19 that the project was approved by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam. "The facility will be located in Quang Nam Province in Central Vietnam. The building for the future plant has already been purchased; the necessary equipment is now being acquired. The production is to come on stream by mid-December," he said.
In his words, the project is estimated at about US$10 million. The company will specialise in the production of compound fertilisers. The major components will be supplied by Belarus. The plant will produce 300,000-500,000 tonnes of fertilisers per year.
