Vietnam finds Chinese fake fertilisers in the market
State media reported Friday (May 4) that Chinese fake fertilisers are found boisterous in the market of Vietnam.
Tran Van Muoi, chairman of Nam Sao Fertiliser Group said that recently his company bought 500 tonnes of fertiliser from China but the fertiliser turned to be salt.
Experts said that Chinese SA fertiliser looks similar to urea fertiliser, making confusions for many Vietnamese farmers.
Nguyen Hac Thuy, chairman of the Fertiliser Association of Vietnam (FAV) said that thank to the tightened inspection of Vietnamese authorities, production of fake fertilisers by local firms has decreased by 70%.
Using substandard fertilisers will reduce crop yield while fake fertilisers will kill crops and cause long-term consequences, said Thuy.
