Russia's January-February nitrogen fertiliser exports down 1.2%

   
   
   

The Federal Customs Service said Friday (Apr 6) that Russia's exports of nitrogen fertilisers dropped 1.2% on the year to 1.718 million tonnes in January-February.

   

   

In monetary terms, Russia's nitrogen fertiliser exports rose around 10.3% to US$527.3 million. Of the total exports, 89.1% were supplied to countries outside the CIS. These supplies amounted to 1.53 million tonnes worth US$474 million. Exports to CIS countries amounted to 187,000 tonnes, worth US$53.3 million.

   

   

The export of potassium chloride fertilisers rose 11.5% on the year in January-February of 2012 to 1.416 million tonnes. In monetary terms, Russia's potassium chloride fertiliser exports rose 46.6% to US$600.7 million.

   

   

The supplies to countries outside the CIS amounted to 1.413 million tonnes worth US$599 million, while exports to CIS countries amounted to 3,200 tonnes worth US$1.7 million.

   

   

Compound fertiliser exports were up 25.1% to 1.387 million tonnes. In monetary terms, exports rose 32.5% to US$638.6 million. Supplies to countries outside the CIS amounted to 1.336 million tonnes worth US$615.3 million, with CIS exports at 51,500 tonnes worth US$23.3 million.

   

   

Russia's ammonia exports fell 30.7% on the year in January-February to 276,800 tonnes, with the total price decreasing by 14.7% to US$119.1 million. Methanol exports remained flat at 199,500 on the year worth US$56.3 million.
