TWINLINE fungicide gives extreme leaf disease control to cereals

New TWINLINE fungicide from BASF Canada Inc., registered in Eastern Canada, is bringing superior leaf disease control to cereals.

Registered on wheat, barley and oats, TWINLINE fungicide provides dual modes of action to control leaf diseases with the added power of AgCelenceTM.

TWINLINE controls a broad range of leaf diseases in cereals, including tan spot, septoria leaf spot, leaf rust, stripe rust, spot blotch, net blotch, scald, crown rust and powdery mildew.

"TWINLINE brings a new level of leaf disease control to cereals," says Jason Leitch, Brand Manager of Fungicides at BASF. "The two modes of action in TWINLINE provide superior, long-lasting control of cereal leaf diseases when used preventatively."

As a product that contains pyraclostrobin (the active ingredient in HEADLINEA(R)), TWINLINE provides AgCelence benefits which often include greener leaves, stronger stems for better harvestability and higher yield potential compared to untreated acres.

"This is the first fungicide outside of HEADLINEA(R) that has features the unique benefits of AgCelence," says Leitch.

Over the past two years BASF evaluated the leaf disease control of TWINLINE in large-scale Federal Research Authorisation trials across Western Canada. Results were very positive with excellent disease control leading to an average yield response of 2-4 bushels/acre.
