India''s poultry feed prices may rise in July
After remaining unchanged this week with ingredients ruling range-bound, India''s poultry feed prices may turn dearer later this month.
Subhash Sharma, Financial Head, Sarvottam Poultry Feed Supply Centre Pvt. Ltd, said that soymeal, a key ingredient, has been ruling in tight range and keeping feed prices unchanged.
Other ingredients, meanwhile, have also been range-bound, without affecting the cost of production. However, due to rising dollar, a few medicines such as d,l-methionine (DLM) and Lysine have become dearer and it may push feed prices upwards later this month, said market experts.
In the physical market, soymeal moved up by INR730 (US$12.30) to INR35,230 (US$592) a tonne. Bajra dropped by INR70 (US$1.18) to INR1,360 (US$23) a quintal, di-calcium phosphate (DCP) was at INR35 (US$0.59) a kilogramme, Meat and Bone Meal (MBM) remained unchanged and sold at INR35,500 (US$597) while corn dropped by INR30 (US$0.50) to INR1,490 (US$25) a quintal.
Mustard de-oiled cake went up by INR200 (US$3.36) to INR15,400 (US$259) a tonne, dry-rolled barley (DRB) improved by INR200 (US$3.37) to INR11,300 (US$190) a tonne, while rice bran oil ruled at INR53 (US$0.89) a kilogramme (kg).
Broiler concentrate feed quoted at INR2,050 (US$34) for a 50-kg bag while Broiler Starter Mash was at INR1,550 (US$26). Pre-lay mash sold at INR1,040 (US$17) while layer grower mash quoted at INR980 (US$16.50). Layer concentrate 25% was sold at INR1,490 (US$25) while layer concentrate 35% went for INR1,175 (US$20).
Meanwhile, poultry products market witnessed a steady trend, on Wednesday (Jul 3). Egg dropped by INR0.08 (US$0.001) and sold at INR2.88 (US$0.05). Broiler ruled flat and quoted at INR72 (US$1.21) a kg, while chick went for INR11 (US$0.18), remained unchanged.
