Thailand approves local feed price hike
A hike in local feed prices by 3-10% was approved by the Thai Commerce Ministry following the continuous rise in raw material costs.
Wiboonlak Ruamrak, Director General of International Trade, said the ministry approved the increase of at least THB10 (US$0.33) per bag for most livestock feed.
These include feed for aquaculture, poultry and cattle. The increase in feed prices for layers and pigs currently are an exception as both are key, popular protein sources among Thai consumers and the government still does not want to see a rise in local egg price.
