Cargill Animal Nutrition recalls select animal feed products

   

   

   

Cargill Animal Nutrition announced a voluntary recall of select regional poultry, calf, and whole and cracked corn products as aflatoxin levels were detected above the acceptable limit.

   

   

The affected animal feed products were manufactured at Cargill's Lecompte, Louisiana, facility between September 6, 2011, and December 1, 2011.

   

   

The Dumor and Producer's Pride brands were manufactured by Cargill and distributed at Tractor Supply Company in 43 stores in southern Arkansas, Louisiana, southern Mississippi and eastern Texas.

   

   

The product has been removed from store shelves and replaced with new product.

   

   

All other affected products were distributed in Louisiana and southwest Mississippi.

   

   

Retailers have already removed the products from store shelves and will replace product soon.

   

   

Cargillis implementing this recall as a precautionary measure.

   

   

Aflatoxin is a naturally occurring mold by-product. Animals that have consumed any of the above recalled products and are experiencing adverse health effects should be seen by a veterinarian.
