Vietnam warns local animal feed importers of Chinese firms
The Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade has urged local importers of animal feed to be more wary in doing business with Chinese traders, local news reported Monday (Feb 14).
The call came after a number of Vietnamese received substandard animal feed from Chinese exporters, and the firms of the two countries fell in debate.
Vietnam is expected to import 7.7 million tonnes of animal feed this year to fulfil domestic demand of 20.6 million tonnes. China is the main supplier of animal feed for Vietnam.
