Cofco to build US$30-million feed plant in Hubei
Cofco Ltd in China will invest RMB200 million (US$30 million) to build an animal feed plant in Huangshi, Hubei province, according to reports.
Established in 1949 Cofco is China's largest grain and oilseeds trader. Cofco Trade is the company's feed processing and raw materials subsidiary.
The plant will be completed in three phases and will have an annual capacity of 200,000 tonnes of feed, the reports said.
The plant will generate RMB1.2 billion (US$180 million) of annual sales revenue and more than RMB100 million (US$15 million) in gross profits, the reports added.
