China's feed output growth may slow this year
China's livestock feed production may grow more slowly in 2010, the China National Grain & Oils Information Centre (CNGOIC) said.
Livestock feed output may increase 3.9% to 154 million tonnes from 148 million tonnes last year. Production expanded 8.4% in 2009, the state-backed centre cited the Ministry of Agriculture.
In recent years, large numbers of feed enterprises in China have entered into farming and slaughtering industries to avoid potential risks and reducing returns due to limited demand, an industry report said.
