Japan's compound feed output up 1.8 percent in August
   
   


Japan's total compound feed output increased 1.8 percent on-year to 1.929 million tonnes in August, according to data from the Agriculture Ministry on Tuesday (Oct 20).

   

   

In July, total output of compound feed for animals rose two percent from a year earlier to 1.975 million tonnes.

   

   

Japan is the world's biggest importer of corn, the main ingredient of animal feed in Japan. The US is the main supplier of corn for feed use.
