Japan's compound feed output up 4.5 percent in June

   

   

   

Japan's total compound feed output increased 4.5 percent on-year to 2.097 million tonnes in June, according to data from the Agriculture Ministry on Thursday (Aug 20).

   

   

In May, Japan produced 2.004 million tonnes of compound feedfor animals, down 2.7 percent on-year.

   

   

Japan is the world's biggest importer of corn, the main ingredient of animal feed in the country. The US is the main supplier of corn for feed use.
