Skretting Chile launches new trout feed
Skretting Chile has launched a new line specifically designed for rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), as part of a strategy directed at helping sector companies fulfil their new productive and sanitary requirements.
Trout producers require a feed specially designed for this species, which allows them to adequately face the current productive, economic and health requirements of companies, under a new regulatory framework that changes the productive model, said Claudia Gatica, assistant director of Marketing at Skretting Chile.
The diet supplements Active Trucha and Optiline Trucha can be administered to trout in the post-transfer and fattening stages.
These diets aim to maximise growth and improve the conversion factor of trout; improve the condition of the fish via protein nutrients; deliver the lowest production cost per kg of produced fish to the producer; generate diet alternatives in terms of different requirements per final processed product quality.
It is possible to reach an optimal level of production and to obtain improved rates of growth and conversion factors (GFR) through adequate feeding management and the use of this new feed, according to Skretting.
