GrainCorp reaches warehousing agreement with Clear Exchange

GrainCorp Ltd. Wednesday (July 22) said it agreed to integrate its online warehousing system with Clear's online grain exchange.

Integration will allow growers with grain warehoused at GrainCorp storage sites to sell that grain through Clear at the time their delivery tickets become available within the GrainCorp online stock system, providing another marketing alternative for growers, GrainCorp reported in a statement.

Scrapping a monopoly over bulk wheat exports from July 1, 2008, has allowed the Australian grains industry to develop into a vibrant and competitive market, where innovation is welcome and is of benefit to growers and the industry as a whole, said GrainCorp, which operates the largest grain storage network through eastern Australia.
