Clextral posts 20-percent growth in 2008 results; growth to continue

Clextral, a food and feed processing company, reported that its2008 turnover rose 20 percent to EUR53.3 million, with order intake culminating to EUR55.8 million, while growth is seen to continue strongly this year.

   

   

The growth in 2008 is attributed to the widening of the offer and sold equipment, the rise of the service activities within the installed world park and by an intensification of the sales in emerging countries. Clextral has maintained its market share in its specialties with 80 percent of orders realised outside Europe.

   

   

Clextral also reinforced its international presence in 2008 with the opening of an office in Moscow and the acquisition of the company KAL based in Denmark.

   

   

At the beginning of 2009, Clextral created a subsidiary in Sydney in Australia and the set up an office in Casablanca in Morocco. Clextral currently has eight sites in China, Chile, Algeria and the US.

   

   

Investments in R&D will continue in 2009, in particular with an acceleration of the developments on the innovating process of Extrusion-Porosification patented thanks to a pilot platform based in Australia, and also on reactive extrusion linked with green Chemistry.
