AMI to host online seminar to educate on US new feed rule
The American Meat Institute partners with the National Renderers Association to host an online seminar Thursday, 13 November 2008 at 2pm Eastern Time to educate meat industry on new feed rule scheduled to take effect Monday, 27 April 2009.
The 90-minute program will include briefings on the rule and its impact on beef and cow slaughter and rendering. The new feed regulations include the prohibition of materials such as brains and spinal cords from cattle 30 months of age or older.
There will also be an opportunity for participants to ask questions of the speakers from the Food and Drug Administration, AMI and NRA.
