Dutch animal feed cooperative sells chicken business
Dutch animal feed cooperative Cehave Landbouwbelang is selling its minority share of 45 percent in Flandrex Group to Plukon Royale Group.
Flandrex operates two poultry processing plants in Belgium and the Netherlands.
The transaction finalises the sale of the last interests Cehave Landbouwbelang has in poultry processing and is in line with the company's strategy to focus on animal feed production.
Joining Plukon Group, a leading party in poultry processing in Europe, would help Flandrex gain heft in a competitive market.
Plukon operates several processing and further processing plants in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
