Sulphate additives prices stay weak in China
Cupric sulphate
Sales of cupric sulphate were slack as feed millers limited purchases while hog prices continued to stay soft.
Cupric sulphate producers will keep prices
competitive as copper futures prices trend lower while hog sector shows little signs of recovering.
Zinc sulphate
Export demand for zinc sulphate remained stable, lending support to the prices even as domestic sales stayed slow.
As of April 18, ex-factory price quotes for zinc sulphate by major producers edged up to the range of RMB4,000-4,130/tonne.
The depreciation of renminbi will strengthen overseas demand for China''s zinc sulphate to some extent.
Manganese sulphate
Slack feed sales decimated the demand for manganese sulphate. Producers kept prices low in a bid to entice buyers during the period in review.
As production costs are less likely to increase, manganese sulphate producers will be motivated to cut prices in efforts to stimulate demand.
Ferrous sulphate
As the production of
titanium dioxide increased of late, the supply of ferrous sulphate increased, resulting in lower prices.
Ex-factory price quotes by major producers dipped to the range of RMB450-470/tonne.
Ample availability of ferrous sulphate will exert pressure on the market.
