Three new H7N9 deaths reported during Chinese New Year
Three deadly human cases of H7N9have been reported during the Chinese New Year period, Xinhua said on February 4.
A patient passed away in Jiangsu province on February 1, while two men died in Guangdong province on February 3. In addition, Xinhua also reported two new cases, including a four-year-old girl in stable condition in Guangdong and a 59-year-old woman in critical condition in Jiangsu.
With the rise of H7N9 cases in recent months, China's poultrysector is expected to experience some turbulence. China's leading agriculture and food business consulting company - Beijing Orient Agribusiness Consultants. Ltd. (BOABC) already forecast a deep shuffle of the industry in 2014.
China has confirmed 115 human cases of H7N9 this year, including 25 deaths, according to the AFP's tally of reports by Chinese authorities.
