Buyers stockpile sulphate feed additives in China
Cupric sulphate
Copper futures prices strengthened lately, prompting producers of cupric sulphate to lift prices even though demand was flat while buyers stayed cautious.
Cupric sulphate prices are seen stable to higher in the coming period.
Zinc sulphate
Prices of zinc sulphate strengthened after mid-December amid higher demand, lifting price in tandem. Towards month end, demand slowed as buyers withheld buying while disease rates showed no signs of abating.
Producers will attempt to clear stocks before the long festive holidays, limiting the upward scope of the market.
Manganese sulphate
Manganese sulphate prices were soft as
poultry feed demand was weak while disease rates were high.
Manganese sulphate producers will likely keep prices attractive in a bid to stimulate demand.
Ferrous sulphate
Supplies of ferrous sulphate remained stable as demand strengthened while buyers restocked depleted inventories.
As of January 5, ex-factory price quotes by major producers stayed in the range of RMB300-455/tonne.
Prices of ferrous sulphate will remain stable with some upward potential as more buyers stockpile inventories during January.
