Brazil's pig, broiler production costs rise in June
In June, Brazil's pig production cost rose 4.07% while cost of broiler production increased by 4.02%.
This is according to Embrapa's Swine and Poultry Concordia (CNPSA).
Owing to lower spending on animal feed, which has gone down 9.5%, the cost of pigproduction in the first half of this year dropped down to 8.47%.
The cost of broiler production also went down 14.4% during the first six months of 2013, also reflecting a decrease in spending on animal feed.
In June, nutrition represented 70.4% of the production costs for broilers, and 76.2% for pigs.
