Guangzhou China Mar. 14, 2011 - Recently, prices of pesticide technical increase in China. Prices of organophosphate insecticides, pyrethroid insecticides, and triazole fungicides increased first, but price of the herbicide products is still stable.
Since Feb. 2011, prices of chlorpyrifos technical, cyhalothrin technical, triadimefon technical and tebuconazole technical have increased to USD5,821/t, USD2,687/t, USD8,657/t and USD12,687/t respectively. Some analysts believe that there are some factors resulted in the prices of technicals increased as follows. First, bulk agricultural prices increased. Second, basic chemical raw material prices soared and increasing labor costs. Fourth, environment management and the costs of three waste treatments increased.
In addition, prices of technical increased also has its own factors. For example, prices of cyhalothrin and chlorpyrifos increased because of export growth, while prices of triadimefon and tebuconazole increased because of environmental reasons and many companies stop production. Wheat powdery mildew, stripe rust and vegetable cultivation area increased, many kinds of disease occurrence, these factors also caused the prices of triadimefon and tebuconazole increased.
However, most large variety of conventional pesticides are still stable as the former price in 4Q 2010, such as glyphosate and bisultap. On the other hand, some technical prices not only failed to improve, but also has the trend to be down, such as imidacloprid technical and acetamiprid technical.
