Vegetable prices rise slightly

 

According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 49th week of 2014 (Dec. 1-7, 2014) is 200.06 (year 2000=100), increasing by 2.69 points from the previous week. The Nationwide Non-staple Agri-food Wholesale Price Index is 200.92, increasing by 3.30 points from the previous week. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 intensively monitored wholesale markets is 615,300 tons, increasing by 4.8% from the previous week.

1.    The price dropped slightly for 11 consecutive weeks, down by a total of 4.7%.

2.    The total trade volume in 50 intensively monitored major wholesale markets.

3.    Out of the 28 intensively monitored vegetables, 23 witnessed price increase, 3 saw price drop, and the other 2 remained the same prices compared with the previous week.

4.    The prices rose at different rates.
