The annual meeting of the Midwest Nut Producers Council is a great opportunity for new growers to learn about the chestnut industry and current growers to learn about optimizing productivity. The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Clarksville Research Station in Clarksville, Michigan, 9302 Portland Road, Clarksville, MI 48815. This meeting is free to members who remit their $50 in dues at the door (one per family or farm). Pre-registration is requested, but not required. You may download the complete agenda and register for the event by visiting the Midwest Nut Producers Council Annual Meeting website.

The meeting will cover the priorities of the chestnut industry, including a chestnut blight update and a discussion of how yields were affected by the winter of 2013-14. If you choose to become a member of the Midwest Nut Producers Council at this meeting, your membership will also entitle you to attend the rooted cuttings workshop in June for only a nominal lunch fee.
